Breastfeeding Basics 101

This class introduces participants to the basic information need to set breastfeeding in motion. It covers milk production, latch-on, positioning and much more. Participants will be presented with insight into the many benefits of breastfeeding, have their frequently asked questioned answered, as well as invaluable tips for the soon-to-be and/or new breastfeeding mothers.

This class offers participants information on how to incorporate breastfeeding into their daily lives. This includes expressing breastmilk, proper handling and storing of breastmilk, and offers tips to mothers for combining breastfeeding and working outside of the home. Participants will learn ways to breastfeeding discreetly; discuss eating while feeding and a host of other useful information.

This class is designed to explore breastfeeding as it relates to various aspects of diversity (i.e., ethnicity, age, occupation, income level, and etc.). Participants will receive information on ways of presenting the breastfeeding experience that is inviting, inclusive and one that provides the foundational framework for breastfeeding as the optimal feeding method for the human species.
