A Mother’s Gift was conceived out of the need to address the education, resource and support gaps that exist surrounding the issue of breastfeeding. As more and mothers are considering, and choosing breastfeeding as their infant feeding choice, it has become apparent that there’s a need to for a place where mothers can look to receive positive reinforcement, ongoing support and encouragement regarding their decision.
A Mother’s Gift is a magazine that will enlighten, inspire and create awareness surrounding the issue of breastfeeding. It’s content is broad and will address the topic of breastfeeding from behavior, historical and social perspectives. Generally intended for parents, mothers, health care provider and anyone interested in practical breastfeeding related information. A Mother’s Gift is a unique publication in that it will reach mothers and women regardless of geographical area, socioeconomic status and ethnicity. Being made available in hospitals, health clinics and physician offices, and not being limited to organizational affiliation or online, A Mother’s Gift has the potential to provide mothers, women and the general population with a positive introduction, and reinforcement to the issue of breastfeeding.
